Goliad ISD

It is time again for sunscreen and summer track.  

The Goliad summer track program is open to Goliad kids and their summer visitors.

On May 22, we will start with practice at 7 p.m. and then have our first parent meeting at the football field. We will talk about schedules and place our summer track-shirt order at this meeting.

Practices will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. starting May 22 and most of the meets take place on a Thursday.  It will be $3 for every person to get into all the summer meets.

Summer Track is a great way for your kids to get some exercise and have fun learning about different track events. The coaches work on teaching fundamentals and having fun and that is what the one-hour practice is all about. Just like every other summer sport, your son or daughter will compete against kids their same age and gender.    

More details will be given at the meeting on May 22.

Most of these meets start at 5p.m. with the gates opening between 4-4:15 p.m.
