The Goliad Tigerettes earned a key victory on senior night against Lady Horns

Kieyah Garcia would not be denied at the plate on Friday, picking up four hits and leading Goliad Tigerettes Varsity to a 13-5 win over George West. 

Garcia singled in the first, doubled in the second, tripled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.

George West scored four runs in the fifth inning, but the Tigerettes still managed to pull out the victory. 

The big inning for George West came thanks to singles by Kali Cortez and Destiny Salazar and a walk by Alexis Jaramillo.

In the first inning, the Tigerettes got their offense started when Morgan Young doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

Goliad Tigerettes Varsity notched four runs in the fourth inning. Garcia, Mady Kramer and Ryleigh Glass each drove in runs during the inning.

Young toed the rubber for the Tigerettes. She lasted seven innings, allowing 11 hits and five runs while striking out six and walking one.

Cortez was on the rubber for George West. The pitcher allowed 18 hits and 13 runs over six innings, striking out one.

Goliad Tigerettes Varsity totaled 18 hits in the game. Garcia, Young, Kramer, Addysen Brock and Daryn Schutz each managed multiple hits for the Tigerettes.  Garcia went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the Tigerettes in hits.
