GOLIAD EVENTS CENTER

Anyone interested in utilizing the Goliad Events Center for exercise purposes may stop by the athletic office, located directly inside the front doors (ground level) of the Events Center, to pick up a registration packet for your free membership. You will be able to obtain the pre-registration packet June 7th – 10th from 8 am – 3 pm. In order to be allowed to use the walking track, community exercise/weight room or to join in our aerobics classes you must have a membership card that you will receive after completing the membership packet. Rules for the facility will be included in the packet. Failure to follow any of the rules could result in loosing exercise privileges. We look forward to sharing the new facility with the community and know that everyone will help to maintain and keep our facility in top shape. When you have completed the necessary documents and receive your membership card you will have the option to purchase a lanyard for .50 each. The lanyard is to attach your card to so that you can wear it around your neck while using the facility. You will be expected to have your membership card in your possession each time you enter the facility to work out.
The facility will open for use beginning June 14th. The times for the walking track and community exercise/weight room will be Monday – Thursday from 6am – noon and 6pm-8pm. The facility will not be open during the week of July 4-10, 2010. The June schedule for the aerobic/yoga classes will be as follows: June 14th – June 30th / Monday & Wednesday @ 5:30 pm – Cardio Fusion. Tuesday & Thursday Senior Fit @ 4:00 pm and Hatha Yoga @ 5:30 pm. All schedules may be adjusted based on the need & use of the facility.
Anyone using the facility must wear appropriate athletic apparel and tennis shoes.
For access to the walking track you will enter using the front steps and enter through the door on the North (home) side of the building. If you are unable to climb steps you may use the elevator located directly inside the front doors of the building. For access to the community exercise/weight room you will enter through the door on the north/east corner of the building. For access to the aerobic/yoga classes you will enter through the front doors on the ground level and proceed through the next glass doors and into the video room directly across the hall.
